In memory of my dear father Alan (George), who sadly lost his long and very brave battle against kidney cancer at around 11pm on Wednesday 30th January 2008.

I will never forget what a wonderful, loving father and grandfather he was.

He will be forever missed by Me, Mum, Louise & his darling little Isabel, as well as all of the friends and family I know he cherished so much.

Dad's funeral was at the Cambridge Crematorium on Friday 8th February 2008, and it was a wonderful celebration of his 60 years. It was conducted in a cheerful and bright manner, which very much befitted his personality and general outlook on life. The music accompanying the ceremony was very carefully selected, and I’m sure that he had a smile on his face when the ‘Battle of Britain March’ was played at the end!

Until we meet again one day, sleep in peace dad and I will always love you with all of my heart.

Your son,

Mark

Am thinking of you today as I do every day. It is Marks 33rd birthday today and I remember that wet friday back in1977 when he was born. I smile when I remember how you so nearly missed his birth when you popped home and when you got back he was just about to make his entrance! You were a wonderful husband, dad and grandad and we all miss you so much my darling. I can see you in Isabel and Thomas - you would have been such a wonderful and loving grandad- they are just so adorable and I know how hard you fought to stay a bit longer to spend more time with Isabel. You would be so proud of them- they are georgeos!! I am trying to move on with my life and you will always be with me all the way my darling in my heart. Night night god bless- sleep tight. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well I'm 32 now Dad!

I know you would've loved to be able to wish me a happy birthday today, but I know you're always here with us, which is in itself a very comforting thought.

Lots of love as always,

As we leave 2008 behind, I think of how the past year has been without you in our lives. Me, Louise and Mark talk about you often and I talk about you to Isabel. She is such a beautiful little girl with such a sweet nature, and she has your lovely blue eyes. We all miss you so much, and for us life will never be the same again. Xmas has been and gone and it wasn't the same without you. You are always in my thoughts love - and I will try to remember all the wonderful New Years Eves we had over the years. Sleep tight.
All my love

Hi Dad

2 Weeks today it'll be Boxing Day, and we'll all be together in Enfield having our 'second' Christmas day.

I'm sure you'll be there with us to enjoy watching Isabel opening all of her lovely presents!

We all love you and miss you so much, and we're all going to celebrate Christmas in the traditional high-spirited way you always did.

Sleep well Dad

All my love forever

Hi Dad

Hi Dad,

I hope that you, Stan, Grandad & Grandma are all together and looking after each other.

We're all fine, despite a few winter bugs!

Little darling Isabel is growing up so fast now, and she really is yapping away like a good'un!

We all still miss you terribly, and although it will be strange at Christmas, we are definitely going to try and make the most of it, and enjoy it in the manner you always did.

Lots of love always Dad, and you're always in our thoughts and dreams.
